We LOVE our new home!! We are in a great neighborhood. There is a walking/jogging path that runs right behind our house, and the pool is just down the street. Perry has been taking Perry E swimming almost every day and she loves that. The days are sunny and very warm (about 90 degrees). Outside of our windows we see palm trees and beautiful bushes with vibrant colors.

ReplyDeleteSo exciting that you can communicate with everyone so easily with the internet. Wish that could have been done when we lived in Holland as I felt so isolated at times from everyone and everything American. Sounds like you are enjoying yourselves so far and enjoying the change. Jennifer just got back from filming the special olympics in Idaho. She is doing some partime work for a wedding photographer that has offices in NY, NC and FL.
DId they celebrate Valentines Day over there. I remember being so amazed that their holidays were so entirely different from ours here in the US. Our favorite holiday in Holland was the Queens Birthday. It was an absolutely huge rummage sale that was conducted on the main street of every city. You just spread a blanket anywhere along the street and put kids toys home decorations furn etc out to sell. Every kid had their own blanket so there was quite a bit of bartering by the kids which was really fun to see. Do you have a local TV station that is in English? Guess your neighbor can keep you up on the local events.
